  1. INSTANT IGNITION SHORT FORM ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

  3. Following are quick ordering rules and instructions for the HP-UX
  4. Instant Ignition 9.0.  Please keep these handy while preparing
  5. Series 700 orders with Instant Ignition.  More detailed
  6. instructions can be found in the HP 9000 Series 700 Workstation
  7. Configuration and Pricing Guide and in the Instant Ignition Field
  8. Order Processing Document.

  10. These rules apply to product numbers:

  12.      o B2910A   English HP-UX Instant Ignition
  13.      o B2911A   Japanese HP-UX Instant Ignition
  14.      o B2912A   German HP-UX Instant Ignition
  15.  
  16. RULES FOR ORDERING INSTANT IGNITION 9.0
  17.  
  18. 1. Instant Ignition 9.0 (B2910A, B2911A, and B2912A) may
  19.    only be ordered with Models 715, 725, 735, 745i, 747i,
  20.    and 755. If Instant Ignition 9.0 is ordered without
  21.    one of these workstations, the order is invalid.
  22.  
  23.    To order Instant Ignition with Models 705, 710, 720, 730,
  24.    and 750 order option 0DK to get HP-UX 9.0 preloaded and
  25.    option 0DJ to get HP-UX 8.07 preloaded.

  27. 2. Instant Ignition and preloaded software must be ordered
  28.    as subitems of a workstation configuration.

  30. STEPS FOR ORDERING INSTANT IGNITION 9.0
  31.  
  32. 1. Choose workstation hardware.
  33.  
  34. 2. Choose English, Japanese, or German Instant Ignition.
  35.  
  36. 3. Choose HP-UX version (HP-UX 9.0 is only version at present).
  37.  
  38. 4. Choose backup media (CD-ROM is option AAB to Instant Ignition).
  39.  
  40. 5. Choose swap space option(s).
  41.  
  42. 6. Pick layered software packages to be preloaded.
  43.  
  44. 7. Set up the workstation hardware as an item. Set up the
  45.    keyboard localization kit, Instant Ignition, and all
  46.    all preloaded software products as subitems of the workstation
  47.    hardware:
